Cheezy Garlic Toast

I used to love cheesy toast, and decided to replicate an old time favourite using . Chock full of B-vitamins, provides a robust cheesy flavour that works as a great substitute for cheese. Paired with and avocado oil it’s a match made in heaven! I find broiling the toast works really well, which is why I selected avocado oil, as it stands up to higher temperatures.

We used french bread in the picture above, but we’ve had great success with gluten free bread as well. Enjoy!

Cheezy Garlic Toast


3 large cloves garlic, crushed
⅔ cup avocado oil
¼ cup nutritional yeast
1 tsp garlic powder
Lg pinch sea salt (or truffle salt)

Pair with 1 loaf sliced french or gluten free bread.


Whisk together garlic “butter” ingredients in a bowl. Spread on top of bread slices and broil for 24 minutes, depending on your oven. This pairs really well with Pasta with Slow Simmered Marinara Sauce and Cheesy Roasted Broccoli for a complete meal.
